Cassia fistula whole fruit is a fruit that comes in the form of a long stick.
In fact, it is a long pod made of a hard, woody and crumbly wood.
Properties: Laxative, Analgesic, Anti-inflammatory, Astringent.
Indications: Decongestant liver, kidneys, bladder, Diarrhea, Constipation, Dermatoses.
When crushed, with a nutcracker for example, it splits along its length, which allows it to be opened.
We then discover hard seeds, separated by membranes, kinds of very thin and rigid washers, covered with a black pulp which constitutes the only edible part.
Taste: Soft and sweet, with caramelized aromas.
Consume the pulp preferably between meals, in small quantities (one to two slices a day at the beginning).
Let a slice melt on the tongue, until only a small woody pellet without pulp (brown in color) remains. Its small light brown seeds are inedible.
Another way to consume it is in the form of a decoction.
If you do not follow these recommendations and in the case, in particular, where your body is very intoxicated, you may experience severe intestinal cramps or be victims of uncontrolled diarrhea.
Consume cassia preferably between meals, for example in the morning on an empty stomach after drinking a large glass of water.
A stick weighs approximately: 50g.
100% wild harvest.
Can be kept for several months, ideally in a cool place.
Type of packaging: packed in a polybag.
